    Default pixmania.com?

    Hi there, is this typical of shops this day & age:-

    Sunday evening, ordered a Canon 20D + cheap lens
    Monday morning, received email asking for a bill with my address on it
    Monday dinner time, faxed the required bill (before 1 pm)
    Tuesday...no camera? told it was 24 hours from order to receiving
    camera..paid the extra £9 as well
    Tuesday afternoon phone pixmania asking if they had any 20D's in stock, told
    YES so I asked where is my camera? Told it will be with me tomorrow as it's
    due to be shipped out today.

    Now even though you think I'm impatient, I'm not, it's just that they claim
    to email when they dispatch & guess what...no email!!!
    How can their website say in stock, the man on the phone say in stock, yet
    no camera?

    Anyone else had problems with pixmania.com???

    Try a google group search and/or post in rec.photo.digital (where there have
    been many comments on pixmania according to google groups).

    I've ordered from them before and taken delivery within 24 hours, but that
    was a couple of years ago. I've a 20D ordered from them yesterday so we'll
    see how that goes.
