    Default PK/MK swapping with 2200

Has the issue of swapping MK/PK ink cartridges been addressed in Panther?

I am still using Jaguar (infact, just upgraded to 10.2.8 from 10.2.6), and I am dead in the water with my 2200. In 10.2.6, I could swap cartridges usually by simply deleting/adding printer in the Print Center. Now in 10.2.8, I'm getting no response from the driver at all--only "job stopped". I've tried everything: deleting/adding printer; shut off printer, disconnect from CPU, reboot CPU, add printer; reinstalled driver, etc, etc, etc.

How's Epson behaving in the Panther world? Any suggestions for those of us still in the Jaguar world?

    Thanks - Rick

Default Re: PK/MK swapping with 2200

    It's still the same.

    My method:
    1. Change black inks.
    2. Delete the print queue.
    3. Power off the printer long enough for the power light to go out. Power back on.
    4. Reboot the Mac.
    5. Recreate the print queue.
    6. Shake fist in air from disgust!

This works for me every time.

Deleting the print queue without the reboot would often let me get away with one print, but never more.
