Default Place/import multiple page PDF into InDesign or Pagemaker

    Query:

I am creating a PDF file from a Microsoft Word document.
I need to then import/place that PDF into a page layout program
where I can use master page features to create bleeds on the pages.
I then need to make a new PDF file.

The problem is in InDesign and Pagemaker I have to import/place the PDF
file (from Word) page by page. Is there any program where I can select
ALL pages, and that the pages will automatically reflow into linked
    text boxes?
Or is each page of the PDF stored in a graphic format?

If there is software capable of this, I would be delighted to know
about it. Otherwise is the method I am currently considering the "standard"
    method?

    From HELP file:
When you place a Word document, the styles from the document can be imported into the Paragraph Styles palette. Note the following:

Disk icons appear next to imported Word styles.

I don't see why you want to put a Word PDF file in Indesign. Why don't you place the original Word file instead? Maybe it would work better? Then you can print with trims etc at the end.

Have you tried File/Place word.doc into text paragraphs and joining the pages onto following pages. (You click the little icon red cross at the bottom of the para frame and click it again on the next page to flow the text through.) See the HELP file for info on how to link TEXT FRAMES.

Check the Adobe Studio Exchange for a script. I believe one exists that
    will do what you want.

But I agree with Karen. What you're doing makes almost no sense at all.
Why not just hand the original PDF to your printer?
