    Default placing clipping Mask

I have an Illustrator cs file which contains a clipping Mask. When placing the file in Indesign cs the file is blank (was fine before I added the clipping mask). Does Indesign not support the clipping mask, and if not how can I achieve the same effect without having to cut the objects permanently in Illustrator?

    Thanks SEb

I've been pleasantly surprised when I use a mask in AI to mask out unwanted portions of a very large map. When I save it as in eps file and bring it into ID, the artwork is only as large as the mask.

You aren't using the clipping path function in ID, are you? For me it was simply a matter of placing the AI eps.

    Cheers,

Why did you save as an eps file? Did the mask not import in the .ai file?

To tell you the truth, that is an old habit. I have had other issues when placing AI files in older versions.

Did you try placing the same document as an eps?
