Default Placing txt files in groups causing double placement

    CS2 on 10.4.7.
This has always worked for me, but now when I go to place (drag) a group of .txt files from a folder (not thru the acutal 'place' option under 'file'), instead of placing all of the .txt files onto my page, it is placing some of them 2-3 times, while not placing others - randomly.
It's quite troubling, since I have to place quite a few of these into each of my catalog documents, and is much easier to do it all at once rather than one at a time.
    Anybody got any clues?
    Thanks!

Are you doing this through the finder or Bridge? Which ever it is, try
    the other.

    Bob-
I was using the Finder. Tried to place multi-files just now thru Bridge...with the same bad results. (I always forget about Bridge.)

Maybe I will come back from the weekend and it will have worked it out itself....i wish. :)
    Anymore ideas?
