plastic effects? - Macromedia Fireworks

Hi All I have a jpg image of a person that I want to make look 'plastic - i.e. less human more humanoid!! Anyone know of a filter or effect that would do the job. I am importing the image into flash to animate, I have tried using the trace bitmap command in flash with some success but I wondered if it was better to tweak the image before importing. Thanks for all and any help and have a nice weekend (it is the weekend isn't it!) as ever -- keen to learn hotmail.com...

    Default plastic effects?

    Hi All

The best plastic effect I have used is with Adobe Photoshop. It is under filter, artisitic, and the filter name is plastic wrap. Hope this helps if you have Photoshop.

I have a tutorial at Community MX that shows how to take a photo and
convert it to a cartoon-like image using the Trace tool in Freehand
    along with Fireworks.

It's commercial, so you'll need to sign up for the free trial (or
subscribe of course) or kick in the $3.00.

Bascially, the idea is to do some prep work in Fireworks to sharpen the
image and reduce the number of colors, trace the image in Freehand, and
then bring the traced vector back to Fireworks for some re-coloring.
