Play Tetris for me

Posted: 07-02-2003, 11:50 AM
Bored right now?
Then please spend the next few minutes playing my new Tetris game.

If you can spot any bugs or have any comments on the way it plays,
then I'm all ears. Also, please tell me if you see any problems with
the high scores board. It's all new database-driven stuff and needs
a good thrashing.

Enjoy.
Paul.

Looks good, plays nice although it seems to sometimes act a tad slow
when turning, like its thinking or something although this is just
miliseconds. I'm just missing the function about pressing space to
immediatly drop a block all the way down in stead of holding down all
the time :)

But it looks nice, plays well too no bugs seen so far.

competently executed, i thought. there are a LOT of tetris clones out there
tho...

i thought the rate at which the blocks speed up was too slow at the start -
seemed to take ages for them to speed up, but then about level 10 they
suddenly start getting faster quicker if you know what i mean - or maybe
that's just my finely honed, ninja like tetris skills - top score - COME ON!

Were you using the down arrow key to make the shapes drop faster?
That's how I play it - keep my finger on the down arrow and let go
when I need to move the shape.

If most people just wait til it gets lower, then maybe I ought to
make the start speed a little faster...

Ta,
Paul.

no, i think you misunderstand me. The longer you play for the faster the
blocks fall yes? I just thought they speed up very slowly at the start
(first 6 or 7 levels), but then get much faster much quicker...
