Re: Playing a Power point pres. in Director?
Mr Soriano:
The question that I have is about using the xtras. I haven't used them, so for forgive me for the dumb questions. I downloaded the trial of MX to see about importing ppt. In 8.5 it automatically made markers, etc., but in MX it only plays once you click on the cast member on the stage.
So how do I go about using a ppt with Director MX?
Thanks,
Rena Coby-Madrid

Re: Playing a Power point pres. in Director?
the user still needs PPT or PPTViewer installed in any of those instances though
we usually just put all teh PPT Viewer files on the CD and use
open "filename.ppt" with the MoviePath & "PPTV\pptview32.exe /s"
it means that it runs outside of Director, but its free to do it this way and the user does not need PPT or PPTViewer installed.
