Hi all,

Please help me ...?

How can I install flash player plugin (version 8 ) in browser without
downloading setup or redirecting to macromedia site if flash plugin is not
available in browser

( i mean silent flash plugin installation in the IE browser, without
redirection or downloading of exe setups and with no popups, is there flash AS
or java script for that )

Thanks

IF the user has a player that support express install (I think the minimum is
one of the subversions of 7), you can upgrade the user without redirecting to
the adobe site. The user will still be prompted for permission. Depending on the
user's browser/platform, the browser will either close and reopen
automatically, or the user will be prompted to do it. If you do a little
googling on express install, you'll find plenty of tutorials on the subject.

If the user has a version that doesn't support express install, they'll have
to download and install in the old way.

Also the question was answered in the Flash Data Integration forum for the
same poster.

The poster needs to follow forum protocols and not post the same message in
multiple Adobe/Macromedia forums. It creates unnecessary work for the
volunteers answering the same question.

Go here:

http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/

Look at the Using Express Install section.

In the first frame of the .as file, it gives instructions on how to simplify
the solution to do something similar to what you are asking for.
