PLEASE HELP INDESIGN WORRY!!
Hi, i have just completed a large brochure for a very important client, I have just loaded it up and this errore message came up
"This document doeas not have an embedded RGB profile
How do you want to proceed?
- leave as is(use current working space)
- assign current working space: adobe RGB (1998)
- assign profile"
This is my first brochure, have i done something wrong? what should i do? and what workspace should i be assigned to? This is going to the printers tommorrow. a little worried.
Just to let you know its a 2 spot pantone colour brochure and im working in CS, im in the uk (dont know if you needed to know that)
What should my profile be for CS on this and general full colour jobs?
Thanks for any help
Please put my mind at rest
Thanks Ben

Re: PLEASE HELP INDESIGN WORRY!!
If your document is 2 spots, then you should deal with this problem by switching off color management. You must have switched it on after creating the document and so it is now looking for an RGB profile so it knows how to display (and later convert to CMYK) any RGB colors you might have in your document.
Since you don't have any the profile is academic.
The only reason for switching on color management when working with spots is to get a better on screen simulation of the spots. If that's important to you, then I change my recommendation: leave color management on. Choose the US PrePress Defaults and choose to assign the current working space.

Re: PLEASE HELP INDESIGN WORRY!!
Thanks for the info Dave, i must have switched colour management on like you said, not sure why i did that probably cause ive been up 48hrs working on the darn thing. There are no cmyk colours in the document so i just need to turn colour management off then?
From what you have said why would i choose US PrePress defaults? if i were to keep colour management on. Just thought id ask cause dont know that much about colour management.
Thanks again

Ah, I didn't recognize your English accent <g>.
Well, pick one that makes sense for the area you're in and the work you do.
