Please Help! Problem Creating New Documents!

Hi,

Photoshop 7 was working fine for me for ages, but now when i goto File/New the new document display box does not appear? however if i press enter it does open a new for me, so it does open the box but i can't see it???

and because of this i can't select the image size i want to work with?

Also, when i set my windows ie only display layers, history ect it just resets it when i reload photoshop????

Please help asap as i need to get back to work! :p

I am running Windows XP pro, with Direct x9 on a 128Mb GeForce 4.

ps: i have tryed uninstalling and reinstall, even the 7.01 update...and still no change...

To add a bit to BLUDVLZ suggestion, When you uninstall/reinstall you have to make sure you trash the prefs before you reinstall. and shut down background running apps like Norton, etc..
