** Please update your client. **
A website I've been using for 7 months all of a sudden stopped working with my
computer. Still works with every other computer I've tried. The last line of
the site ( http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ ) states: "The Speakeasy Speed
Test requires at least version 7 of Flash. Please update your client. " The
thing is I have Version: 9,0,45,0 installed on the computer. I've tried
removing the flash player and reinstalling it a couple of times (the computer
says its installed correctly) but it still doesn't work. By the way, I'm using
IE 6.0, and XP Pro. Please Help.

Re: ** Please update your client. **
This is a permissions problem causing Flash Player detection on that site to
fail. It's not that Flash Player isn't installed. Rather, certain registry
keys used by that sites Flash Player detection are locked or missing.
Don't reinstall, that won't help. Go read my post from earleir today in the
Kernel32.dll thread and do those steps.

If I have another computer with the file Flash.ocx can I copy and paste the file in the C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash
folder? Will this solve the problem? Thanks
jon
