Plugin for shadows without needing selection?
Are there any plugins that can add shadows throughout complex grayscale images without having to make selections for the shadows to be applied to. So the plugin would analyze the whole image and apply variable shadows, for example relative to all the highlights.

Theres a thread in the Feature Request forum about using a displacement map for bevel and emboss. I started playing some games based on that thread, and what you *can* do is select all the highlightes (Ctrl-Alt-Shift-~, that's tilde) and use that as the selection against which to apply layer effects such as drop shadow....
