PluginLab Horizontal Flyout Menu
Has anyone else had a problem with PluginLab not emailing you the paid
registration code after you've purchased the product? I purchased the product
two days ago. According to their web site, they are supposed to email the
"paid registration code" for you to enter in the "registration window" to
activate the product.
I have emailed several times and there is no reply. This is a Macromedia
Approved product and I am getting concerned since my bank account was debited
the $59.00.
Anyone know these folks and how to get in touch with them? Thank you in
advance.

Re: PluginLab Horizontal Flyout Menu
Yes, I purchased the entire PluginLab extension suite in January but never got
around to installing it until May. (I needed it for a project that had gotten
delayed.) Anyway, once I installed it I tried to obtain the serial number via
the extension interface several times and then several times via email. I've
never gotten a response!
Macromedia ought to remove these extensions from the Exchange until this issue
can be resolved.

Re: PluginLab Horizontal Flyout Menu
The phone number I called that was attached to the debit on my bank statement
is an apartment complex. I finally got a reply from them and they just said to
do what I already did--apply for the code and they will e-mail it to me. I
think I may have to file an official dispute with Visa.
I think Macromedia should look into this and tell them people are having some
problems...

Re: PluginLab Horizontal Flyout Menu
I never had a phone number because I never saw the credit card statement - my
company paid the bill. I did try to email every address I could find for the
pluginlabs.com domain and got no response from anyone.
I've since purchased a projectseven.com product, which is what I should have
done to begin with. I own several of their other products and know that they'll
be there if I need 'em.

Re: PluginLab Horizontal Flyout Menu
To be fair, I just heard back from them in a rather snobbish email. They claim
that it is my problem if I did not receive the code because there must be
something wrong with my email address that I purchased the product with. After
more arguing they finally emailed me an activation code since they knew they
had charged me. If there is a moral to this story, do not purchase anything
from these people. I should have gone with projectseven and may end up doing
it anyway as this darn thing is so tricky. Is the projectseven menu easy to
update across the site? This thing has to have code placed in the head of all
the documents that the menu is on. Get real! Are we back in the 1990's or
something? I give it a complete thumbs down.

Re: PluginLab Horizontal Flyout Menu
Okay, I feel kind of sheepish. I do need to apologize to the folks at
PluginLab. As it turns out, I was having a problem with the directory
structure on my local machine verses that of my live server. When I was
uploading the pages on which the menu was working on my local machine to the
live server, the menus suddenly didn't work. This was due to the fact that the
software assumes there is the same directory structure on the live server. If
anyone else has problems using this menu and comes across this post, please do
not hesitate to contact me and I can explain further.
One has to make sure that if the structure on the local computer is this:
c:\My Documents\MyRoot
The structure on the live web server has to be this:
www.myroot.com
It cannot be, for example:
www.myroot.com/testingarea/
The software does not re-write itself and has to remain relative to the
directory structure that existed on the local machine when creating the files.
So, it was my ignorance to get this thing working. It is a perfectly wonderful
menu now that I am not so dumb and have it working. My apologies to

Re: PluginLab Horizontal Flyout Menu
Hi Jeremy, I've been having problems with this menu. I'm realtively new to
web deisgn and web servers etc. The menu works perfectly when you do a F12
preview in Dreamweaver but when I test on testing server they don't flyout
at all. Here is my setup,
Local Files - F:\Websites\Intranet
Testing - \\intranet\wwwroot
I guess the testing server part is all wrong. \\intranet\wwwroot is a PC
sitting on my network called 'intranet' with Win 2K server installed and IIS
running. I shared out C:\inetpub\wwwroot out so I could upload my files to
this PC.
Any advice for me?
Thanks in advance.

PluginLab Horizontal Flyout Menu
I am having almost the same problem. I had registration codes, but I got a new computer, and you need new codes everything you switch computers. I have the whole suite and have for years. I have multiple websites with several of their menus, layer windows, tool tips, site maps, etc. Now I have to start from scratch redoing everything whenever I need to edit something (or else just edit the code--like I have time for that)!
Does anyone know where pluginlab stores these registration codes? They have to be somewhere. I've searched and searched my old computer, but I haven't been able to find them.Unregistered Guest
