PM and/or QX EPS into Illustrator
When I save a given Pagemaker file or a given Quark file to an EPS file and then open that EPS in Illustrator to further edit/enhance, the text is all fine and hunky-dory. Same with PDF files. EXCEPT for the fact that individual letters or words are all on their own text path, instead of one continuous text path. What is the way to work around that trouble, without cutting and pasting each individual letter or word onto a new text path? How to connect all those individual text paths into one continuous text path? I would like to be able to have the ability to edit the text, if needed, but how when everything is on individual text paths? Frustrated here...

Re: PM and/or QX EPS into Illustrator
You can convert text to outlines in Quark, but it's as much of a pain as dealing with the individual type paths. If you need the type editable I know of no other suggestions than to copy and paste and reformat. Unless there's a plugin out there. If there is I'd really like to know about it.

Yep, cut and paste looks like the only method. Oh well, life continues, right?

Re: PM and/or QX EPS into Illustrator
If you select all the text bits in illustrator and copy them, you can paste them into a new text path, and all you have to do is go in an put spaces back in between the words. A bit of a pain, but potentially less work than reformatting the text in illustrator. Worth a shot at least.
