Polygon Lasso Tool

Yes I am a newbie When using the Polygon Lasso Tool and I accidently click somewhere I don't want. How do I unclick just one (or more) clicks?
Dumb question I know but I just have not been able to find out myself.

Hi Ian,

The only dumb question is the one you don't ask. To undo a step with the
Polygon lasso tool, press the Alt button to temporarily disable the
lasso cursor. The cursor will change back to a pointer. Click with the
pointer where you want to set the next point of the lasso. The cursor
will change back and the lasso will be moved to the spot where you
clicked with the pointer.
