Poor font rendering when viewed on windows?
Some fonts I'm using in PDFs I'd created with Acrobat for Mac are rendering very poorly when viewed on-screen on windows machines. Magnifying to 200% or more everything is fine, but at 100% there are visible distortions in some or most letters. Printed documents are fine.
Helvetica Neue Light 9-point looks the worst of the fonts I've tried. I'm using the pdf printer using standard settings, Acrobat 7.0.2 on Mac OS X 10.4.2, viewed on Acrobat 6.0/WinXP. Embed all fonts and smoothing is on by default.
One of the reasons I upgraded to Acrobat was because I was having a similar problem with the Quartz engine in OS X. But Acrobat doesn't look any better and I'm wondering whether I wasted my money.
Anyone had experience tweaking setting to get good on-screen results?

Re: Poor font rendering when viewed on windows?
It may be that the Windows user either doesn't have the proper text
smoothing options set.
