Poor Print Quality from InDesign 2
We are starting to use InDesign 2 on Windows 2000 machines to lay out a broadsheet newspaper. We print proofs of these pages on GCC 20/1200 laser printers before they go off to the printer. We are printing proofs on 13" wide x 22.5" deep paper.
Here's the problem: The 200ppi TIFF images and EPS ads layed out on the page print from the laser printers as if the printer is only using 16 shades of grayscale - gradient banding and a low-res appearance occur.
We are switching from Quark Xpress and I can print these pages from Quark 4 with no problems and I can also print the same TIFFs and EPSs taken from the InDesign pages on smaller paper with no loss of quality.
Do you think this might be a postscrpti printer driver/InDesign conflict or am I missing something in the documentation?
Many thanks, Stan

Re: Poor Print Quality from InDesign 2
Thanks Bob,
I was selecting "all" but I was not selecting the correct resolution for the printer output - a feature buried in the driver dialog box.
Seems to be working fine now. - Stan
