Poor quality SWF file
Can anyone explain why the line ends convert from square to rounded when exported to a .swf? I've used the advanced setting with no path compression. I've just tried the same exercise in Illustrator 10 and would you believe ? it displays properly. How come Illustrator is more compatible with Flash than FreeHand?
Line weights are also changed, and simple curves are distorted.

Re: Poor quality SWF file
JerryPF;
Only rounded endcaps are supported in swf format--you get the same
results on swf export from any app. Check out the technote on the flash pen
at MM's flash support for more information on the "curves" issue--not sure
what might be happening with the line weights... -Tom Unger

Re: Poor quality SWF file
Thanks Tom
But creating different line weights in Illustrator 10 and exporting as a.swf works perfectly.

Re: Poor quality SWF file
JerryPF;
Can't offer much on the line weights issue--I don't think I've ever
encountered it. I seem to recall some discussion about it here in the past
so you might check the group archive at Google. It might also be related to
Freehand version or platform and the anti-aliasing view in Freehand.
