Pop-up Menu's don't work when using Dreamweaver template

Hi,

I have created a pop-up menu in Firewords, as everything I have read tells me
not to do it in Dreamweaver. HOwever, the problem is when I add this to my
dreamweaver template it doesn't work. If I add it to a dream weaver page then
it works fine. I want it to work in my template as I want to use this to
structure my webpages and make updating easier. Can anyone tell me how I do
this importing it into a template?

Which FW? Earlier than FW8? You can't successfully use their pop-up menus
with templates. FW8? It's possible (although not recommended) to do this.

I'm using Fireworks 8 and Dream Weaver 8.

So If I shouldn't do this in Fireworks, how do I add pop-up menu's to my dreamweaver site?
