Animating Text in flash is relatively simple. I am writing this assuming that
you are familiar with symbols, and tweens. All you have to do is convert your
text into a symbol and then create a motion tween. it is quick and easy! I find
animating in flash the easiest part of flash.

almost any effect in Flash but additionally, there are some 3rd party tools out
there that can do tons of effects relatively easily. If you're buiding banner
ad, however, I'd stay away from those tools because the often increase the size
    of your SWF.
