I have a field on my page called, types. It is a text
area. I have a link beside it called Find All Types.
WHen they click the link, it opens another page and list
all the types and descriptions as checkboxes. I want to
pass the checked values back to the textarea on the first

Re: Populate text area from database values
Using client-side script, e.g.
window.opener.document.formname.textareaname.value = "foo";
See a client-side group for more information (e.g.
microsoft.public.scripting.jscript).
