Default Popup Menu covered by Java Applet

Hi folks, Have created a popup menu in fireworks, exported images and html.
Inserted into page in DW no problems. After adding java applet inside a div
the menu still works but is partially covered by the applet. Have tried using
arrange to send the div to the back but no joy. Any ideas. Chris

Default Re: Popup Menu covered by Java Applet

You got both feet in big holes.

Please don't use the FW pop-up menus - here's why (and two much better
alternatives) -

http://apptools.com/rants/menus.php

All Active content on a page will always rise to the top, so to speak,
including Flash, certain form elements, Java applets, and Active X controls.
This means that each of these will poke through layers. There is not a good
cross-browser/platform reliable way to solve this issue, but if you can be
confident in your visitors using IE 5+ or NN6+, then you can use the Flash
wmode parameter.
