Popups render underneath Flash Content - Macromedia Dreamweaver

When mouseover incites the popup (DW MX code), it renders underneath the flash content located below. In essence, the flash content "covers up" the popup. This, as you can imagine, is very bad. I know this has something to do with div layers, Z-indexes, etc - and I'm sure the answer is much more simple than I can imagine - but in either and any case, I can't figure it out. Anyone? Help? Please? Thanks in advance... ~m...

It's not as simple as you wish it were and it has nothing to do with
z-index. It has to do with the fact that active content, such as flash
is constantly re-drawn by the browser. Static content, like layers are
drawn and forgotten. This means that your active content will always
cover any static content. There is a work around, but it does not work
    on all browsers. See

The only reliable solution is to redesign the page so that the menu
and flash to not try to occupy the same space on the screen.

    good god man.

that's the worst news i've gotten this hour.

i'm still in shock, convincing myself it must not be true - there must be another way.

    ugh.

    a redesign.

not at this stage of the game - no way.

i think i'll stop web development altogether -

i'm off to weave a basket. thanks anyway.
