Default Posscan work : Batchdivision of a scan

Hi, so here is a new interesting and for all of us time saving topic to be discussed:

Given a scan with some, say for example pics on a single coloured background. Is there a way to save the single pics well cropped and perhaps adequatedly rotated into spearate files?

So you want to take an "array" of images and autoselect each one, resulting in a new file for each image on the source "contact sheet" - is that right?

If it is right, boy, don't I wish! It can't be done as far as I am aware.

well , i don't know if got me right, tin priciple it should worl for every kind of document, in shouldn't be restricted on photos, it may be just anything, even small bill, or simply something i cut out of a newspaper. So it is not, say that I want to get pic like with a contact sheet. It is just the functionality you get with the soft that comes together with a canon scanner nowadays. And as it is a question of the soft only, there should be something available independent of the canon scanners

I understand. Many scanners have an "auto detect" feature that will find or help find the borders of images on the bed. It seems that it is this sort of functionality you are asking about, which Photoshop does not have, although I wish it did.

I've been asking for a while. There's no good way to do it from what I can tell - at least not in photoshop.

Even scanning software is imperfect at this task. <shrug>
