Possible MX 7/MySQL bug
If this isn't a bug, then I'll be shocked. I'm pulling a simple database query
from a MySQL database, but the page is displaying incorrect values. At first,
I thought it was a cache issue, but I've pulled every no-cache trick I know and
still get the bad data displayed.
Here is a snippet of the data in the database (pay particular attention to the
RSTR column):
+------+------+------+
| plyr | team | rstr |
+------+------+------+
| 373 | 9 | 5 |
| 497 | 9 | 4 |
| 522 | 9 | 5 |
| 552 | 9 | 5 |
+------+------+------+
Here is the query:
<cfquery name="getData" datasource="ootp">
select *
from roster
</cfquery>
<cfdump var="#getData#">
And here is what is returned (notice the zeros in the RSTR column):
+------+------+------+
| plyr | team | rstr |
+------+------+------+
| 373 | 9 | 0 |
| 497 | 9 | 0 |
| 522 | 9 | 0 |
| 552 | 9 | 0 |
+------+------+------+
The kicker is, when I adjust the SQL to specifically call the records with
RSTR = 4, the correct rows are returned with the wrong data!!! This tells me
that MX 7 is gathering the data successfully, just not displaying it correctly.
The adjusted query:
<cfquery name="getData" datasource="ootp">
select *
from roster
where rstr = 4
</cfquery>
<cfdump var="#getData#">
And here is what is returned (notice the zeros are STILL in the RSTR column,
even though the where statement SPECIFICALLY calls for records where RSTR = 4):
+------+------+------+
| plyr | team | rstr |
+------+------+------+
| 497 | 9 | 0 |
+------+------+------+
Hopefully, I'm doing something TERRIBLY wrong, but this is REALLY basic stuff
here! I sincerely hope this is an issue that can be resolved quickly, because
if it isn't, this is going to be a really bad problem for sites that use data
to dynamically create their pages!

Re: Possible MX 7/MySQL bug
Hi, are you using the built-in or downloaded MySQL driver? Also note that
CFMX7 has not been tested and is not supported on JDK 1.5 yet.
