Possible solution for not being able to save illustrator EPS files

There is one thing you should check on your computer.

Select the harddrive icon. Go into applications. Select iillustrator icon. Then go to file - Get info....

Down at the bottom is the Ownership and Permissions.
Under details it should read - Owner: your name, Access: Read and write,
Group: admin, Access: read & write, Others: read & write. And then lock it.

Try this and see if it helps.
