PostPrinting Keyboard Problems

After printing, I often (not every time) lose the ability to use my keyboard in InDesign CS2. It does not affect any other application nor my mouse. A quick restart of InDesign usually solves the problem. But how annoying is that to have to restart the program everytime I print? More often on larger documents, and sometimes on quick text only printing from InDesign.

I am running InD CS2. I have been able to reproduce (don't kow how) this problem on two different machines 800MHz G4 tower and 2.16 GHz Core Duo MacBook Pro — with two different printers HP 2600n and HP 7310.

At first, I thought it might be corrupt preferences with the printer. Or even with InDesign, so I patiently waited until I purchased a new computer (MacBookPro) and I am now having this problem (as well as random crashing of inDesign on the Intel chipset).

As a side note, I am thoroughly disappointed in all of the CS2 applications performance in Rosetta. My 800Mhz machine was faster at all levels than my new computer. So slow in fact, that I might need to switch back the old tower to get any work done.

Back to the printing issue. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated. Thanks.
