    Default power status?

    Hello,

    I suspect that the system in subject (Laptop) is auto shutting down
    when it detects that the battery is low.

    How to run a manual command to get power status ?
    What daemon is usually responsible for such tasks ?

    % apropos power
    apm (HW) - bootstrings for advanced power management
    exp, expm1, log, log10, sqrt, pow (S) - exponential, logarithm, square root and power functions
    exp, log, pow, sqrt (C++) - exponential, logarithm, power, square root functions for the C++ complex library
    hasapm (ADM) - check power management BIOS-APM firmware
    pwr (HW) - Power Management STREAMS protocol
    pwraction (F) - Power Management event service actions
    pwrd (ADM) - Power Management event router and servicing daemon
    pwrdump (ADM) - display a Power Management event message
    pwrevents (F) - Power Management event definitions
    pwrsend (ADM) - send a Power Management event message
    pwrsh (ADM) - Power Management control shell
    uapm (HW) - Advanced Power Management BIOS-APM firmware

    All of these, except the two math ones near the top, have to
    do with power management.
