Powerpoint file converts to black/white PDF

I seem to be having problems converting Powerpoint files into PDF - they keep coming up in black and white instead of their full color.
I am using Windows XP Pro and Office XP. I noticed the problem right after I ran the latest Windows XP update.
I have uninstalled and re-installed Acrobat and added the latest Acrobat update. I am using Acrobat Professional 6.01.
I did not have the problem when I first installed Acrobat some time ago because I have several full-color PDFs from Powerpoint. I also tried converting the file using the Distiller. I also have Acrobat 6 Pro on my Mac with Office X and the Powerpoint files convert beautifully.
Is there anything I can adjust to get Acrobat to produce color PDFs from Powerpoint?
