Preference files
I have the Classroom in a book for IDCS. It advises that I must reset the preference files for each lesson. To do this I am to delete the preference files by selecting Control+Alt+Shift and Click Yes to delete the ID preference files.
Problem is that nothing happens when I press Crtl+Alt+Shift. What am I doing wrong?

If it wasn't made clear, you hold down that key combination immediately after launching InDesign. You have to be relatively quick.
