Default Preflight flagging color bars as creating different plates

I love the new Acrobat preflight feature, but I am having trouble getting it to ignore the color bar placed on the page. When I test a black and white page for multiple plates, it always says there are four plates because of the colors outside of the page bounds. I have not found a command to test if an object is outside of the page bounds. Is there a way to get the preflighter to ignore this or is there a different test I could perform to make sure there are no colors used on black and white pages? Thanks in advance!

In Separations Preview (Advanced\Separation Preview) just uncheck Black Colour. If there are elements in other colors you will see them. But if you want to be sure and of your documents have many pages, just separate the colour job and print just Black colour.
