Preflight Font Collecting
Does software exist for preflight font collection with Illustrator CS and Panther 10.3.3? Markzware FlightCheck Designer 5.07 doesn't seem to work. Extensis Preflight Pro is now discontinued.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Preflight Font Collecting
I feel I should at least mention that embedding the fonts into a pdf is the legally recommended method for making sure fonts are available with your document. Technically speaking, it's still illegal for a printer or client to install and use your fonts, even if it's "just for your job." It's a fairly routinely ignored violation, but maybe someday Adobe will decide to emulate the recording industry and start prosecuting violators.

I believe it is OK for them to use t this way and Scoop is very excellent.
I don't think it is a violation as you can use the Fonts as long as you purchase it if you intend to use it for other purposes or something like that you might reread the license of fonts from Adobe. I can be wrong as well but my understanding is different than your of this use is different than yours.

Re: Preflight Font Collecting
The Adobe Font library end user agreement section 2.6.3 says that you may send copies of the fonts to printers for their use, but they may only use the font if they own a license to do so. Most designers never ask their printer or service bureau if they're licensed to use the fonts they send.
