Default preflight indicating 1 process color and 2 spots, there is no process color

    Greetings:

I have viewed the colour seperations on screen with InDesign and when viewed there are only two spot colors showing. When preflight it still says there is one process color. I don't get it.

Is there a way to ask CS where that process colour is?

    Thanks

Which process colour is it? Is it Black?

You can print separations, either to a pritner or to a PDF, specifying only the one colour. After that, just look for the non-blank page. You can also use Separation Preview, but I prefer the former method (old schoolers like me are sceptical of features that render our ingenious workarounds obsolete).

Yes it is Black. How do you print to a pdf specifying only one colour.

    Thanks

Print separations to a PostScript file and Distill that file.

My guess is that there's a white element somewhere, but instead of "Paper" colour, it's 0% Black. Don't know if that can cause what you describe, just a guess.
