preflight pdfs
I am bringing ads submitted as .pdfs into InDesign for a print project (web press, black plus one spot color).
Is there a way to check the .pdf to make sure the resolution is adequate (300 dpi) and that they are only black/greyscale or black and the appropriate spot color?
The Preflight in Acrobat baffles me.
The Preflight in InDesign is so easy, but doesn't tell me anything about the .pdfs in the project.

Re: preflight pdfs
Sue,
Unfortunately - preflight in Acrobat is the answer ..
You have not mentioned your version of Acrobat since version 6 was very
raw (and complex) with its preflight function - but version 7 is much
better.
Let us know your version and we can see if we can help some more ...
Cheers,
Jon
