preflighting in acrobat
Hi there, one of my jobs is to review art. Some of the art I get is in a pdf format. I realized that I could check the image files by going to preflight, going down the list to "list images below 250 ppi" and if there were problems I could tell the boss. I now have to review images not at 250 but 266 ppi. I am sure there is a way for me to do it, but I just don't know how. Anyone?
Thanks in advance
Patty

Patty,
You can create new profile to use the ppi of your choice. Duplicate the
profile you are using, then edit it appropriately.

Re: preflighting in acrobat
You didn't tell us what version of Acrobat Professional/Pro you're running. Here are instructions for Acrobat 8 Professional:
In the Preflight panel, open the list of profiles, and select "List images below 250 ppi".
Click the Edit button at the top. The Edit Profile dialog opens. The built-in profiles are locked. It's best to duplicate them to change them. At the bottom of the list on the left, click the 2nd icon (Duplicate). Now you're working on a copy. You probably should rename it.
In the list on the left, scroll to the profile. Click on the Images icon. Enter a new Resolution value. Click Save. Click OK to close the dialog.
(This becomes easier in Acrobat 9 Pro.)

Re: preflighting in acrobat
For starters, you can do Quick Checks and Quick Fixups without having to make a whole new profile.
Just click Quick Checkup, and pick the check (or fixup) you want to work with. Click the Edit button right next to the name of the check/fix/profile. It opens up UNLOCKED. Make the change, click OK.
