Preloader on a CD-Presentation
Is it possible to use a preloader on a Flash MX standalone CD
presentation?
I like to load a quicktime movie into a placeholder but it takes a
long time before the movie shows up. I tried a few preloaders from
the internet, but they don't seem to work.
thanks,
Diederik

Re: Preloader on a CD-Presentation
Why don't you import the quicktime movie into a Flash file, rather than load
it into a placeholder?

Re: Preloader on a CD-Presentation
That's what I'm doing. I'm loading an swf file with an imported
quicktime movie. There are 450 frames, 12fps.

Re: Preloader on a CD-Presentation
They should work, so there must be something wrong with the code. Maybe show
us what you've done so far and how you're movie is set up.

In Flash MX, I import that movie and save it as swf. When trying to load that
swf movie with a preloader, it loads the whole movie en shows my preloader for a
second. Then the movie starts to play.
I can play with all possible settings but so far, no working preloader.
The same movie playing in a browser works fine.
