Default Preserving "View" Preferences When Opening PDF Other Computer

I am using Acrobat 5.0 on Windows.

I have a multi-page PDF with links within it that needs to keep the viewing preferences I have set it up with: Single Page Viewing at 100% etc...

I have no problems setting it up the way I want it to appear on my own computer. However, when I make a read only copy and open it on another system, the view preferences revert back to whatever the defaults are.

How can I ensure that the "View" preferences that I have set up with the doent will stay with it when another person opens it?

Basically, I am sending a linked portfolio on disc and I want the viewers to see the file the way it's intended to be--not Fitted to the Page or magnified by 200%.

In "Preferences", try setting your doent "Open" options. This will allow you to specify the page number and magnification the doent will show when it is first opened. After that, if the viewer is navigating the PDF's using bookmarks, you can specify magnification levels for the bookmarks (and other links), but if they decide to go hopping about on their own you cannot control what magnification they will be using.
