I have been playing around with my copy of Illustrator CS. Have not used
this program before, so I really do not know the solutiont to my question.
I have a tablet that I use to draw with [not a WACOM]. With Photoshop,
Flash, etc. I am able to achieve a look that is close to what I can do with
ordinary brush and ink [varied thickness]. I have been trying to see if I
can do the same thing with Illustrator. I have been using the charcoal
tapered brush with satisfactory results, but I would like to have solid
black outlines rather than the charcoal look. I understand there was a set
of tapered artistic brushes that came with the previous versions of
Illustrator. It seems to have disappeared with CS.

What is the best solution? Is there a way to have the varied thickness in
the brush lines? I see that you can change the nib attribute to pressure,
but when I do that the line is still of same thickness.
