My problem is, that the whole system is automated. We get html-files from a database, print them with Adobe PDF to a file with a predefined name, open a Framemaker7 file where the pdf already is referenced, then print it again with Adobe PDF.
So there is no way using another format. I know that the pdf is import as a EPS(?), or interpreted as an EPS(?).
Creating a TIF file would be the easy way, but unfortunately I cannot change the automated system.
    Thanks for your help

Sorry, if I bother again.... but I have another problem with the setting "PostScript-Options/TrueType-Options" on Layout/Advanced.

I want to print a file. I set the "TrueType-Option" to "Bitmap". I print the file. This works fine.
But when I want to print the next file, the "TrueType-Option" has switched back to "Automatic". The changes I've made are not saved. What can I do?
The whole system is automated. So there is no way to change the settings manually each time I print to Adobe PDF.
How can I keep this setting?

Are you making changes in the Printers Control Panel? Changes in
Printer Setup are not supposed to be permanent.

Yes, I did the changes in the Printer Control Panel. Is there another way to makes changes. Or how can I make these changes permanent?

Two ways to get there: (1) right-click printer > Printing Preferences >
    Advanced; (2) right-click printer > Properties > Advanced tab > Printing
    Defaults > Advanced.

Between these two ways, one of them tends to "stick". I frequently have to do
it both ways because I've forgotten which one sticks.

I tried both ways, and for me it does not work. Both ways do not keep the settings.
Is there another way, to keep the settings?

BTW This happens only on a system with Win2K and Acrobat6, on a System with Win2K and Acrobat5 the settings are permanent, even after rebooting the machine.

I dunno. I use Win2K and Acrobat 6 and they stick for me. Sorry I can't think of an ... adhesive solution.
