Preview Issue
We have recently upgraded to Acrobat 8. While I have checked both tiff or pict previews, I have a few machines that will not generate a preview when saving a pdf as eps.
Placing in Quark or InDesign results in a white (not gray) box with no info in it.
Using InDesign CS3 Quark 6.5
Mac Pros running 10.4
Behavior is correct on similar machine running 10.5

Re: Preview Issue
In fact you're potentially ruining the file id you do convert to EPS ...> Also, you do not need to save a PDF as an EPS when placing in inDesign. It can remain as a PDF.
InDesign uses the same Adobe PDF core technology as Acrobat so don't
convert, just place the PDF (just like .ai and .psd files) ..
