    Default preview pdf in Mail?

Why can't I view pdf files in the body of my email when attached to email my client when saved as V6 with password protection? I can view them when saved as V5 with password protection. Is there something wrong with my app or is this normal.

I'm wondering if this is related to another issue I posted earlier. A comment was made by someone receiving my email that they could not see the pdf file previewed in the email when received. (I disagree with the message left by james although I did appreciate the gesture to help.) james corbran, "email with pdf file attachments not received" #1, 9 Jun 2005 6:49 am </cgi-bin/webx?13@@.3bbad1da/0>

James' message may or may not have anything to do with the immediate problem but, he IS correct. PDF have the highest chance of corruption when sent via email of most files. It is recommended to compress them first.

This is expected behavior. If you have an Open password security, you need to supply that password before you can see the contents of the PDF.

Acrobat 5 appears to have a flaw that allows the PDF preview to be seen.

MarkATS. By password protection I meant against changing and restricting printing to low res only. I didn't mean restricting opening the file. Is "not" being able to view them within the email document still normal? This is a one page acrobat v6 document.

About compressing a pdf file. My client uses windows systems and their firewall won't let .zip files through. I've tried changing the suffix without luck. Any suggestions?

And the whole thing that started this line of questions is my client can not receive my email when I attach pdf files v6 which are locked. I email the files and they never get my email nor do I receive any bounce back message. Any ideas?
