Print file name in Composite

This must have been asked and answered but can't find it!

Is there a way to print the file name and date in composite mode? (Illustrator 10)
Freehand has had this option for years!

If not direct from Illustrator, maybe someone know if a plugin or other utility?

Schawk Inc. have made a plug-in called TimeStamp 1.2 for AI10. I can't find a source for it, but can email it to you.

Thanks Lee, that's exactly what I'm looking for but TimeStamp 1.2 didn't work for me in AI10. Does yours work in AI10? if so maybe I have to move the plugin to a different folder?

Dave, I had trouble getting AI to recognise the plug-in but at the time I had a lot of system conflicts, so I put it down to that... Upgrade to CS as Acrobat now has this feature built in. You could manually enter the filename and fill it with the registration colour (which would then print on the seps as well?

Time Stamp is for AI 8 only. Illustrator CS has an option in the Marks & Bleed pane of the print dialog to print page information. You may be out of luck with AI 10, although I think I remember someone mentioning a script for that.
