    Default print format

    I created an advertisement in Illustrator CS for printing on a magazine, but I dont know which format should I save as/export for printing.
    My ad contains some text & bitmat images.

    PDF wil often be a good choice, with the right settings, but first and foremost ask them what they want.

    To amplify Jacob's response, most magazines have very specific requirements for digital ad submissions. Many maintain Web sites with this information. Here's an example:

    <http://pcmagmedia.com/rates/specs.html>

    If the publication has no such Web page, they should be able to fax or e-mail you a specifications document.
