It's a PITA, but it works.... a standalone print server is a better
idea if it's more than casual use, though.

Hello,

You may wish to look at the USB print server(s) at Hawking Technology:

http://www.hawkingtech.com

I have 2 XP systems networked with a G4 800 running OX X.2.6 being
served through a 4-port hub (any respectable brand should do) by an HP
LaserJet 1300 USB printer.

What driver are you using to talk to the printer? Also, are you using TCP/IP
or AppleTalk from the Mac? (Hawking Tech's web site says they only support
postscript over AppleTalk, and I am not sure my Canon printer supports
postscript.)

Thanks!

The OS X HP 1300 driver from HP is used with a TCP/IP connection from
the Mac. It would be wise to contact Hawking's techs, since the Canon
website still lists the Mac OS X driver for the i9100 as in-progress
(due July 2003).
