Printa a page - Macromedia Dreamweaver

Hello On the web I was looking for a script to print a page, but couldn't find anything that really suits my wishes. This is what I would like to include in my webpages: I have a page without frames and with various tables on it. Now if the customer hits the standard IE or NS printbutton they will get a print with all kind of info they don't need. Is there a way to define wich piece of the website should be printed ... or what do you people advise in this case. I also read about using css ...

    Hello

    On the web I was looking for a script to print a page, but couldn't find
    anything that really suits my wishes.

    I also read about using css is this the best option.

    Thanks a lot in advance,

    You can't send a web page direct to the users printer from within the
    page. Having said that, there's a little piece of javascript you could
    use if you want;

    <a href="javascript:;" onClick="window.print();">Print</a>

    This will, however, only open the standard print dialogue, in exactly
    the same way that the browser's print button does. It also causes
    accessibility issues for those who, for whatever reason, have
    javascript disabled.

    As far as I'm aware, there isn't any way to do that.

    Use CSS with media type 'print' to hide elements you don't wanna
    print, e.g.

    HTML:

    <ul id="nav">
    <!-- navigation items -->
    </ul>

    CSS:

    media print {
    #nav {display: none;}
    }

    9.2.5 The 'display' property
