Printers' pairs in InDesign
How do I make IDCS print out printers' pairs so that I can make up booklets on my desktop printer?
In PageMaker you went to 'Create Booklet' in the Utilities menu, but there seems to be no equivalent in ID.
Cheers

Re: Printers' pairs in InDesign
Do you have the PM plugins? They include a special edition of ALAP's
InBooklet.
If not, you can buy the plugins, you can buy InBooklet or you can
download a script for free from the Adobe Studio Exchange.

Re: Printers' pairs in InDesign
I will be buying the plugin pack, but I think this is pretty rubbish that I have to pay extra for something that came as standard with PageMaker.
Will this capability come with future versions of ID?

We hope so. But Adobe won't tell us.

Re: Printers' pairs in InDesign
Jo,
Why don't you try the free script before buying anything? It's not bad and could be completely adequate for your purpose.
I never build booklets for outside anymore. Even the photocopy place we use can impose the pages, and film houses usually don't want booklets.
