Default Printing 2-sides with Dell printer

I know this isn't an ID issue but you guys have such a wide body of experience I thought maybe someone would know how to resolve this. I just bought a Dell 3110cn printer with duplexer. It took me a day and a half to get it working on my Mac network (the salespeople say they support Macs but the techies say that's a lie) and today I tried out the duplexer only to find that there apparently is no setting in my print dialogue having to do with printing front and back. Has anyone encountered, and hopefully solved, this problem?

I don't have that kind of printer at work, but had a similar problem with a Ricoh printer.

It was basically that we needed to go to the menu on the printer itself and program it to allow duplexing. And then turn off that feature when not needed.

I don't recall if it was Quark or InDesign jobs, but I do think we had to change the printer settings (the printer itself) to do it.

Thanks for the help, but I just went to my printer menu and if there is a setting there, I can't find it.

Check the actual printer software itself. You may even need to edit the PPD.
