    Default Printing annotations

I ma using the Adobe PDF Library to make a standalone app (note I am not using the Acrobat PDF library as I am not developing an Acrobat plugin)

In my app, I am creating annotations and giving them an appearance using CosStreams. They appear correctly when I display my PDF in my app. However, when I print my document, the annotations do not show up. A strange symptom is that if I save my PDF, then open and print it from Acrobat, the annotation is displayed.

I have read the documentation, and have not found a simple solution. Is there something I have to add to the annotation when I create it? Perhaps a print appearance stream? Or is there just some flag I'm missing?

    Thanks

    Default Re: Printing annotations

After a quick look the most obvious thing to check would be the Annotation flags. There is a flag to enable the printing of annotations, this needs to be set.

If you investigate the Annotation section of the PDF Refernce manual (section 8.4.1).
