printing connection problem
I have a HP laserjet4mp printer connected via ethernet to my G4 silver mac running os10.2
I mistakenly deleated the printer but have since reinstalled it . For some reason I can now no longer print illustrator (or any other app.) because my computer cannot find the printer.
If anyone has ANY ideas of what I should do, I am greatly appreciative.
thanks
johanna

Re: printing connection problem
When in doubt, use IP printing. I just had a HP 5100 that got moved in my office and I couldn't find it anymore. Go to your printer and print a configuration page. That will tell you the IP address of the printer. Open Print Center, click Add and change the pulldown menu to IP printing. Type in the address of your printer and use the bottom pulldown menu to select a driver. GOOD LUCK!
peace

Re: printing connection problem
paul,
thank you. I did print out a conf page but found nothing that said what my IP address is for the printer. the only number under "settings" is a Postscript version number.
The other suggestions you gave i did and to no avail.
The printer appears on my print center but still cannot be found by my computer.
thank you again.
